Need to say that, the LX car in LFS is actually more of a Westfield than a Caterham.
The main difference is about the rear suspension. Westfield is double wishbone as the one in LFS. Also the interior in lfs is exactly the same as the westfield one.

i’m guessing you don’t know much about f1 cars.theres no tyre squeal ’cause tyre squeal is caused when the wheels are slightly locked or there is some understeer which is a big no no in f1 and yes they do lock lock wheels sometimes in the real world but the rubber is not as hard as the slightly ordinary tyres used the lower calsses of racing to cause a squeal.

@iluvworldofwarcraft, F1CE did/does have multiplayer online, but the North American servers are shut down. I’ve read on GT Planet that if you can get a European copy of the game, you can still play online against others because those servers are still very much alive. By the time I get any good at this game offline though, I expect that F1 2010 from Codemasters will be out, so the missing online doesn’t bother me much.

@simracingtonight – I’ve mounted a Buttkicker Gamer to the back of my Bob Earl VRC seat, and it works great; better than clamping to any part of the frame. I used a 3″ length of copper pipe, some fender washers and a long bolt to create a cylindrical mount point very low on the seat – pretty much at butt level, which seems appropriate. @akaTRENT Thats one of the only problems with the Gamer, it’s clamp is made for a desk chair. You made need to fabricate something or mount it right to the seat. You can take the shaker off of the clamp and mount it direct to something.

Physical feedback hooked into game audio? hmmmm… Well, if it were hooked into the game physics, I’d consider it. I got ears already.
I think I’d spend my money first on a good pedal set with load-cell brake.

And he tried to brake, and he hit the car in front so don’t tell me you are trying to show off all aspects. It was not deliberate. Just admit mistakes happen and move on – we all make racing mistakes. Your biggest mistake was arguing against clear evidence to the contrary – very unprofessional.

Compared to newer titles F1CE didn’t stack up.

No F1 cars tires don’t squeel.. BUT.. can you feel the car under you ?? As a sim racer, those sounds need to be over done so that we can use the sound to help control the car. Eyes are fine smart ass.. We drive every sim there is and this one isn’t as good with depth. Have you tried them all ?

Not a good review on the F1 CE game. Lack of tire squeal complain? Find me a video where there is tire squeal even upon lockup. The engine is so loud it can not be heard, and the tires are so grippy

Elevation inaccuracies in the F1 tracks? Can you name them? Stop making them up.

Graphics – remember this is an old game. You cant see the braking points? get your eyes checked, or remember that it is an F1 car. It is so low to the ground.

And learn to drive? Stop hitting every one.
