How many of the Y!A NASCAR fans went to or are going to college?

I’m not trolling. I know that stupid stereotype about NASCAR fans being uneducated isn’t true. I just wanted to know how many of our fellow Y!A members went to college.

I took a year off from college, and I’m going this fall to major in meteorology.

I went to LSU and have a business degree and own my own business.

i went to the school of hard knocks and graduated with honors.now i have so much OJT it is pitiful.i have so many job and field related certificates i fell as though i should have a college degree.
but hey if people like me went to college then there would be no one to do my job.
there are very few people in my line of work,so the money is pretty darn good.
the bad part about it is i have to work to earn it.

I have a M.S. from UMass and worked for years in hospitals. My husband (a CPA) prepared well, so I was able to retire early.

Most of my friends went to the school of life.

Went twice, and dropped out of grad school after 2 years.

I have a B.A. in History/English and a B.S. in Art. I was going to be an English professor, but academic life didn’t agree with me. Ugh. Thus the second degree in Art.

I would MUCH rather be a NASCAR driver, of course. LOL Next best thing: maybe someday Mark Martin or Elliott Sadler will need a graphic designer.

BSc
MB
BS
MSc
PhD
All from London University.

But, a college education doesn’t necessarily go hand in hand with a good attitude. Predujice and discrimination exist in the highest echelons of the most educated.

I have never had the impression that NASCAR fans lack a college education. But many of the stereotypical predujices associated with NASCAR are so evident in this YA forum.

So, while your question is an interesting one. It’s not, by any means definitive.

Good luck with your studies!

I studied mechanical engineering and mathematics at Queens College, Oxford.
I have a doctorate in both subjects, and currently I’m the Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Cambridge University.
Guess that’s why I follow F1 and find NASCAR quite funny.
