It works with the Wii Wheel and instead of magic mushrooms and Mario characters the game is filled with cartoon likenesses of Nascar drivers like Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson Cark Edwards and Matt Kenseth. Drive the DuPont car, Lowe’s race car or (my favorite) the M&M race car! There are also a number of unlockable fictional characters (that players unlock) who would easily win any Wii wet T-Shirt contest. Now… that’s a game idea…. Race on Nascar inspired tracks like Daytona and Talladega. Classic Game Room HD brings you the best in new school and old school retro video game reviews. this is like that nascar game on PS1 that you raced fantasy tracks and the cars could be upgraded to like hot rods nd stuff. it was made the same time as nascar 2000. it was really fun… what was it?….

There are a # of Wii games that i would not let my kids touch (if i had kids of course), and they are No More Heroes, Mad World, Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, The House Of The Dead Series, The Conduit, Resident Evil Series, Man Hunt 2, Scarface, Call of Duty Series, Far Cry, Obscure: The Aftermath, Dead Space Rising, Etc… I feel those are all serious games to be played. So yes the Wii can be a serious game console with the right games.

That’s all well and good, but it’s still aimed at kids, and like the Wii itself, it’s not for serious gamers.

I agree with you there vroomer, they where able to a more Sim game on the Cube, So don’t see why they could not have done it on the Wii. I still however like this game very much, once i got use to the controls. I say give us Nascar 09 along with this game, and make everyone happy, but it will not happen as EA from what I understand lost the Nascar license, so we will have to see who produces the next game, and what it will be like.

I think EA did a good job with this game, all things considering. No it’s not a racing sim game, but it does not need to be. It’s fun, fast, and has my favorite drivers in the game. 
It’s also a blast to play with friends, and family. 
GameFly also had it on sale for $17, which is a steal.
This game is one of the reasons i playing my Wii at the moment.

No dynamite sticks, but there is one recorded occassion of a NASCAR driver (Wendell Scott) pointing a pistol at a driver who had harrassed him (i.e., wrecked him repeatedly) in previous races. The pointing occurred while both drivers were on track, at race speed. :>
