This video is of the final two laps of the 2010 Indianapolis 500. During which, Mike Conway went airborne, sideways and into the fence in a violent crash during the closing laps of Sunday’s Indianapolis 500. Conway was battling Ryan Hunter-Reay for position between turns three and four when the two collided. The 26-year-old Englishman’s No. 24 car flew up into the catch fence then fell back toward the track, nearly taking out defending champion Helio Castroneves. The ensuing caution helped Dario Franchitti hold off Dan Wheldon for the win. Conway complained of a left leg injury following the wreck. He was immediately taken to Methodist Hospital for evaluation. He was flown because of the heavy post-race traffic.

The Start of the 93rd Indianapolis 500 saw an early wreck involving mario Moraes and Marco Andretti

Indy 500 results — It was a great event with a thrilling end. Dario Franchitti a Scottish driver once again won in todays Indianopolis 500-Mile race. Followed by British Dan Wheldon finished second, while another British racer Alex Lloyd came in at third. Chip Ganassi Franchitti’s car owner did make a history in this todays race he became the first person in history to win both the Daytona 500 and Indianapolis 500 in the same year. Jamie McMurray won the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Daytona this past February. This is Ganassi’s fourth victory at Indy, having won with Juan Pablo Montoya in 2000, Scott Dixon in 2008 and this year’s victory. Additionally, Ganassi co-owned the car driven to victory by Emerson Fittipaldi in 1989. The race ended with a spectacular crash between Ryan Hunter-Reay and Mike Conway in the north chute between Turns 3 and 4 on the final lap. Conway’s car went airborne and ripped into the fence before landing upside-down on the race track in one of the most spectacular crashes in recent Indy 500 history. Conway was able to get out of the car and wave to the crowd of over 300000 fans afterward. He was later airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis where he is being treated for orthopedic injuries of his left leg. Get ESPN Channel to watch more races!!! satpctv.tk
